alvary is on an important journey to find a new senior pastor. We have an excellent pastoral transition team in place, so the congregation is well cared for during this interim period. The Pastoral Search Committee was formed to provide strong leadership on the journey.
In his book A Change of Pastors, Loren Mead discusses steps to follow to find a new pastor and the tasks to complete as we experience the transition journey. The steps help us organize the tasks to get where we need to go. The tasks are the experiences that lead to growth and change, which ultimately enrich the congregation for the future. Completing the steps while focusing on the tasks lead us to a new creative, lively relationship in which pastor and people continually call each other to deeper, stronger ministry. The journey carries us through seven distinct steps shown at the right. As you select these areas, milestones are highlighted to trace progress.
