MINISTRY OF CELEBRATION IN WORSHIP
Ministry purpose: To enable growth through public and personal worship of God, creative expression and contemplation.

Relevant, innovative, thoughtfully crafted worship services are a Calvary hallmark. Music plays a vital role, but praise and worship at Calvary has many components. Sunday worship is available via webcast live and archived to inform prospective visitors, connect friends/family around the world and serve members unable to attend.

Sunday Worship is often augmented with special guests from around the world or musical events, such as a Spirituals Concert. Other unique services are Easter Sunrise at Cherry Creek Reservoir and the dramatic Festival of Lights during Advent. During summer months, we've held casual Sunday evening and mid-week services of praise and singing after a light dinner. Periodically, Calvary takes worship to the community and holds a casual service in Bible Park.

Contemplative worship in the style of Taizé.

A Sundays at Four concert series is offered periodically from local, regional and national pervues. In November 2009, the #1-rated Euro-Asian group Spasenie from Belarus delivered a terrific concert.

More than 130 dedicated volunteers undergird this ministry in diverse ways. They implement seasonal decorations and events; prepare/serve communion; train/staff a team of ushers; facilitate special events such as Christmas caroling to at-homers. Chancel stewards maintain the sanctuary and chapel so it looks it’s clean and welcoming. Periodic fine art shows, seasonal tableaus and skits and opportunities to walk the labyrinth are also Celebration in Worship responsibilities.
