MEMBERSHIP
& TESTIMONIALS
We encourage
people to become involved in Calvary's ministry and mission, and
get well-acquainted with our family before taking steps to join. There
is a two-step process for joining: attending the Explorer's class
and responding to the call (by coming forward on Sunday morning during
worship.)
Explorer's
class gives new people a chance to get acquainted with each other,
the pastors, and Calvary opportunities. Held several times a year in conjunction
with a light meal, this informal gathering provides an opportunity to
share, learn, ask questions and discuss:
- programming
and events
- Calvary
facts and Baptist beliefts
- church
school and activities for children, youth and adults
- the
benefits of joining the Calvary family
- ways
to serve in the community
- membership
guidelines

We
visited other churches; some weren't welcoming to all people. That's
a problem for us. From our first visit, Calvary felt like home and
has remained so for more than six years. We live in Castle Rock,
but Calvary is worth the drive!

A
caring church family led by Pastor Mary Hulst and her staff welcomed
us and made us feel at home from the first time we came to Calvary.
In addition, we are constantly blessed with the music and events the
church provides.

One
of the reasons Doug and I are comfortable here is Calvary's involvement
in the community. We only grow when we reach out.

Calvary
is important to our entire family. It's where we plug-in, regroup
and reconnect. The bonus is parenting help and support within a faith
community.

To
me, Calvary is home away from home, where I feel so comfortable and
accepted. The true character of a living church is taking seriously
Jesus'command to accept and include others. I believe Calvary does
just that.

I
love the variety of the music at Calvary. And I can remember Mary
Hulst's relevent, straightforward messages all week.

We've
found Calvary to be a warm, accepting congregation that reaches
out beyond itself. It offers lots of small groups for discussion,
study, support and friendship. As a family, we pursue a path to
a fulfilling life.
